Religion II is a course developed to help students grow in their faith life. Our God has told us that our faith grows when we hear, study and take to heart the words of the Bible. The readings, activities, and class discussions that occur throughout the year have a single purpose in mind: to enable students to grow closer to their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. They will reveal the sin of their natural condition; they will reveal the satisfaction Jesus made for their sins; they will reveal the way God caused Jesus' redemptive act to effect salvation for them personally; and they will reveal the new life in Christ which God has given to them. Special units on spiritual growth, Bible study, prayer, Scripture meditation, dating, sexuality, and a yearlong emphasis on interpretation and application of Scriptural principles are also presented. The book of Ecclesiastes, Proverbs and the Gospel of John are covered with topical studies in each book.
